John’s on a roll, after creating the very useful EigenTab tool, he now has released an experimental utility that automatically converts guitar ASCII tabulatures to an Eigenharp notation. It automatically figures out which scales are usable for playing the melody you’re converting and has an interesting heat map feature that indicates how often notes are played. This can be very useful to figure out of it’s a one handed or two handed piece.

After a year of continuous development and bug fixing, the 1.3 branch of EigenD has been promoted to stable. Everyone is encouraged to upgrade as it offers a great deal of new features, improvements and bug fixes.

Every Monday at 16h00 CET we’ve been meeting in a virtual Eigenharp Clubhouse using Google+ Hangouts. It has been great fun and very interesting. Feel free to join us during one of the next ones. My previous artist website was long overdue for a make-over as it I put it online more than 13 years ago! This was before the prevalence of blogs, social networks, artist communities, video sharing … mp3 was still a novelty!

Last Monday we had our first Eigenharp clubhouse, it was very ad-hoc and improvised, mostly to check technical things etc. As of next Monday I’ll be organizing an Eigenharp clubhouse every Monday at 16h CET using Google+ hangout. You can circle me through my G+ profile, feel free to ask me for an invite if you’re not on G+ yet.
In addition to meeting up, I’ll be recording the hangout and streaming it out directly on my Livestream, here’s a recording from last Monday.

Hi everyone,
This has been floating around my mind for a little while now. I think it would be really cool to have a weekly virtual clubhouse about the Eigenharp on Google+, using hangouts.
Who would be interested? What’s your timezone? Which days would be appropriate? I would personally be interested any weekday in the morning before 10am CET or any time during the day on Monday before 17h CET.
