After several years of hard work of the entire MMA MPE working group, the MIDI MPE spec has finally been adopted!
The final spec will soon be available for download from http://midi.org

Great contributions Geert. It’s indeed very exciting! I’m happy MIDI is adapting to the newer realities of music playing.
In addition to MPE, the MIDI Capability Inquiry (MIDI-CI) specification [1] just announced as well is another step towards a more pleasant MIDI future for players like me 🙂 Cheers! — Alex / Satri
